The Parks Board today ratified a change in the Golf Passes for the three Evansville City Golf Courses. As soon as the paperwork is completed, you will now be able to purchase a 7 Day unlimited play golf pass. There will be no surcharge involved charged at the time of play like the other passes in the past. You will be able to play as much as you want. The cost of the pass is $1000 and includes McDonald, Fendrich, Helfrich Golf Courses and Wesselman Par 3. This pass is in addition to the other golf passes for Seniors $250 and Juniors $100 that include surcharge of $5 for 9 holes and $6 for 18 holes that are good Mon-Fri.
This is general information that I am passing on and there might be minor limitations that will be told at the time of purchase of the pass. i.e. not able to play if the course has an outing. The great thing about this pass unlike if you purchase at other local golf courses is that you aren't limited to playing only one golf course all year. You have a choice. If there is an outing at one of the golf courses then you can choose to play at one of the other 2. We will try and keep everyone up to date on the outing events at the golf courses so that you can be informed early enough to know.
There will also be a $100 card, buy 5 rounds get one round free. This will be a gift certificate card that can be purchases at the courses. We will punch the card every time that it is used. Good for gifts on holidays or anytime. 6 rounds for the price of 5.
I am excited about the changes that were made and I hope that we get to see some new faces at the facility this year.

First off.... I want to congratulate all the winners this year. The results are on the McDonald Amateur tab on the front page of the website. I also want to thank YOU .... all the people who decided to take their weekend and share it with our family here at McDonald GC by playing in the tournament. As you see every year when you come out to play, my friendly staff and my volunteers of family and friends, make this tournament a lot better than I could do alone and one of the best in the area.
Also, please take the time to thank the sponsors if you happen to see them as well, they are generous enough every year to help me make the tournament a better one for you. I will be putting a link up in the website shortly with who they all are.
Every year is a new adventure for our tournament it seems and this year was no different. The weather made me make some difficult decisions about how things would happen. There are so many different scenarios that can happen with a 9 hole golf course tournament that it makes it very difficult to prepare for all of them. My main goal was of course to get the tournament in, but also to make sure as many people got to play as many holes as possible without putting anyones safety at risk. I appreciate all the support and understanding that I received from almost everybody.
After all that... just let me again say thank you, it means a great deal to me to have all the participation that we get, especially in the times that we are living in today.

Well.... here you go.... thanks everybody for their understanding....
Some of the groups did not get finished..... so we are keeping the groupings the same while letting the ones who didn't finish start after they finish their original round... This is pushing back some from the morning to the afternoon wave and pushing most tee times back 4 spots except the orignal 2.....
All the times at 6:30 that are bunched together are the ones who didn't get finished and they understand what is happening.
